- Established 2022- RiverEdge Beverage Company is a full-service Wine and Spirit Brokerage in the great State of Utah. It was created through 40 years of passion, hard work, integrity and persistence in the industry. We are a fast paced growing brokerage service helping brands mature and succeed in the control state systems. We also consult and manage emerging and existing brands across all Control States. With over four decades of experience, RiverEdge has the resources to help assist and build your brands tactically and professionally. One of our goals is to assist new or existing brands from the developing phase to the maturity phase by offering mentorship and guidance along that journey. We look forward to collectively growing your brands in a highly professional manner!
Phil has 40+ years’ experience in the Wine and Spirit Industry. His last 25 years have been based out of Park City, Utah where in 1996 he co-partnered with Western Edge Wine and Spirits (Utah and Idaho). Phil and his business partner, Dave Engen, built their brokerage business for 10+ years and in 2007 they aligned with Youngs Market Company out of California. At that time they were a top Utah brokerage representing supplier brands such as Gallo, Constellation, Far Niente, Stags Leap, Jordan, Kendall Jackson, Matanzas Creek, Frogs Leap, Bogle, Kobrand, Wilson Daniels, Maisons Marques and Domaines, Silver Oak, Sazerac, Allied Domecq, Ketel One, Patron and more. Prior to moving to Utah, Phil had numerous sales positions with Youngs Market Company in Orange County, CA . During his last 15 years as Vice President, Western Control States at YMCO and RNDC, Phil’s five state territory footprint consistently dominated the market and consistently took market share from their competition. His success was due to his incredibly hard-working team as well as his key supplier and State level relationships.
